Itinerary

Start your day with a trip from Cusco to Soraypampa, where you'll begin a hike of approximately two hours through spectacular Andean landscapes.

Upon arrival at the lagoon, enjoy the breathtaking view and the unique energy of the place. Then, descend for a well-deserved lunch before returning to Cusco. A perfect tour for nature and trekking lovers. Dare to live this experience!

The adventure to the impressive Humantay Lagoon begins early, at 4:00 a.m., with pickup from your hotel in Cusco, depending on your location. We'll travel by private transportation to the town of Mollepata, on a journey of approximately two hours, enjoying the beautiful Andean landscape. At this point, we'll have a nutritious breakfast to recharge our batteries before continuing the tour.

Then, we'll continue our journey to Soraypampa, the starting point of the hike. Before starting, our guide will provide a brief briefing with details about the route and important recommendations. The hike to the lagoon lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the group's pace. During the ascent, you can admire the majestic Andes mountain range, with stunning views of the Salkantay snow-capped peak and the diverse Andean flora and fauna.

Upon reaching Humantay Lagoon, located at 4,200 meters above sea level, you will find a dreamlike landscape: turquoise waters surrounded by imposing snow-capped mountains. You will have plenty of time to explore the area, take photographs, and enjoy its characteristic mystical energy.

After this unforgettable experience, we will begin the descent back to Soraypampa, where our transportation will be waiting for us to return to Mollepata. Here, we will enjoy a hearty lunch before embarking on the return trip to Cusco, arriving at approximately 5:00 p.m.

  • Wear trekking shoes with good traction.
  • Protect yourself from the sun with a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
  • Wear a windbreaker and gloves, as it can get cold at altitude.
  • Bring water and energy snacks for the hike.
  • Bring a small backpack to carry essentials.
  • During the rainy season (October to March), bring a rain poncho or raincoat.
  • The use of trekking poles is recommended for greater stability during the ascent and descent.
