Day 1

The trek to Rainbow Mountain begins at 4:00 a.m. with pickup from your hotel in Cusco, depending on its location. We will then head south of the city for approximately two hours, during which you will appreciate the picturesque Andean villages and the natural beauty of the landscape. Upon arriving in the district of Cusipata, we will pause for a nutritious breakfast to give us the energy we need for the hike.

After breakfast, we will continue the journey by transport for an additional hour until we reach the starting point of the hike, the town of Phulawasipata. Here, our professional guide will provide a brief briefing with important instructions for the ascent to Vinincunca Mountain. During the hike, you will be able to observe varied Andean fauna, such as llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas, in addition to enjoying the impressive views of the snow-capped mountains and valleys that surround the trail.

Once at the top of Rainbow Mountain, located at 5,200 meters above sea level, you'll have plenty of time to take photographs and admire this natural spectacle, famous for its unique hues formed by the sedimentation of minerals over time. You can enjoy a moment of connection with nature in this mystical place, where the landscape constantly changes depending on the light and weather.

After this unforgettable experience, we'll begin the descent along the same trail until we reach Phulawasipata, where our transportation will be waiting for us to return to Cusco. At this point, we'll enjoy a hearty lunch before returning to Cusco, thus concluding this extraordinary adventure.
